My imaginary safety story

Well the house was starting to come together. The roof is up, walls around, wood on the bottom floor. Concrete waiting on the floor; waiting for something to fall. Every time I go there, it just looks like that.
The builders were hammering nails into the walls for the roof to stay up. Suddenly one of the builders hammered the wrong piece. One of the walls fell. The house tumbled over with Josh still on top of the roof! He fell into the wood and nails with the roof landing over top of him!
I was right there. I watched it happen. I knew I needed help.

Option 1:
When I saw him I noticed that he was bleeding. He had put a nail through his hand. He was screaming, "Ahh."
I told him it would be alright and that we were going to do it the easy way.
So we put pressure around the nail and pulled it out .. quickly so he didn't scream!
But with the nail out, it started to bleed more. We grabbed a sock that was left in the truck. We pushed it on to the nail hole to stop the bleeding. We had to hold it, on and off for about 30 minutes before the bleeding stopped. Then we put a square plaster on it.
Josh felt a bit better after that. But he never gives up so he kept on working. He doesn't take a minute off.

Option 2:
I got help to lift all of the wood off him. We found him right in the middle where all of the concrete was. We asked him how he was.
He was really sore and couldn't move a muscle.
We wondered if he had broken a bone in his leg. We thought about ringing an ambulance but we knew we didn't need to. We could take him to hospital in the car.
So we took him in the car to the hospital. We took him carefully so he didn't get hurt on the bumps.
I'm pleased this is just an imaginary story!
